CLIENTS SERVED: Survivors of domestic violence and their children who need crisis support, safety planning, advocacy, and referrals to community services.

DESCRIPTION: Family Counseling & Shelter Services of Monroe County (FCSSMC) is a nonprofit organization supporting survivors of domestic violence. Although its Sunrise House shelter and counseling services have closed, its 24-hour hotline remains open to connect survivors with partner organizations and other available services.

SERVICES / PROGRAMS:

• 24-Hour Domestic Violence Hotline: Provides confidential crisis support, safety planning, and connections to community resources.
• Advocacy and Support: Connects survivors with courtroom and Personal Protection Order (PPO) advocacy, legal services, and support groups through community partners.
• Housing and Family Resources: Helps survivors access affordable housing referrals, employment support, children’s advocacy, and other family services through partner organizations.
