Provides free inspection and repair. Labor is free, but client must pay for parts.

Opens at 9 am, but advised to be there earlier as spots fill quickly. There are no guarantees that your vehicle will be seen.

Mechanic is available starting at 9 am on Saturday mornings at the Brightmoor Free Store, located in the parking lot of the United Methodist Church, 12065 W Outer Dr, Detroit MI 48223

Maximum of 5 vehicles will be seen on a first come, first serve basis.

Repairs include:

• Vehicle Diagnosis: Check Engine light analysis, drivability evaluation, inspections
• Engine Service: Spark Plugs, Throttle Body Cleaning, Serpentine Belts, Alternators, Radiators, Starters, O2 Sensors, Exhaust Repair
• Suspension Service: Sway Bar Links, Struts, Shocks, Control Arms, Ball Joints, Tie Rods
• Driveline Service: Brakes, Wheel Bearings, Axles
• Body Services: Front & Rear Lamps, Door hinges, Lift Struts, Window Regulators, Door & Hood latches

Services not provided: oil changes, tires, alignments, transmission service, air conditioning service, water pumps, collision repairs. Vehicles that need to be towed cannot be worked on.
