SERVICE AREA: Ypsilanti and the surrounding eastern Washtenaw County area.
CLIENTS SERVED: Individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, needing food, emergency financial assistance, clothing, and seasonal support. Youth, families, and individuals seeking faith-based services may also participate.
DESCRIPTION: Services focus on basic needs, emergency assistance, seasonal support, youth and family programs, and Christian ministry. The center is a part of the Salvation Army Washtenaw County Corps, but serves needs more local to Ypsilanti and eastern Washtenaw County.
PROGRAMS/SERVICES:
- Emergency Financial Assistance: May provide limited help with urgent expenses such as rent, utilities, or other basic needs when funding is available.
- Food Assistance: Provides food and nutrition assistance to eligible individuals and families.
- Clothing & Basic Needs: May provide clothing, winter coats, children’s and maternity clothing, shoes, and other essential items when available.
- Seasonal Assistance: Holiday programs may include Christmas assistance, Angel Tree, gifts, food, and winter clothing.
- Youth Programs: Character-building activities, Christian education, camping, and other programs for children and youth.
- Family & Casework Services: Provides casework and assistance connecting individuals and families with available resources.
- Women’s Ministries: Programs and activities providing fellowship, support, and Christian education for women.
- Spiritual Support: Worship services, Sunday School, Christian education, prayer, and other faith-based activities.
