The PADD Food Bank is a proud Member of Feeding Kentucky (formerly the Kentucky Association of Food Banks).
Our network of seven Feeding America food banks provides food and groceries to Kentuckians facing hunger in all 120 counties across the state. Through more than 900 partner food pantries and meal programs, we reach an estimated 1 in 7 Kentuckians each year. We focus on addressing child hunger, sourcing food from our Kentucky farmers, and advocating for policies that reflect the needs of our neighbors. Guided by our vision, we aim to ensure that all people in Kentucky have access to sufficient food to thrive.
Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)
This program improves the health of low-income elderly individuals aged 60 and above. The United States Department of Agriculture purchases Commodity Foods from national manufacturers. They are distributed nationwide to CSFP warehouses and then packaged for distribution to participants like you.
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
EFAP is a federal program that helps supplement the diets of low-income Kentuckians by providing them with healthful foods at no cost. Under EFAP, commodity foods are made available to local agencies for distribution to needy households to prepare meals for home consumption or to organizations that prepare and provide meals for the underprivileged.
