LEXINGTON KY LIONS CLUB EYE GLASS PROGRAM

The Lexington Lions Club provides free vision screenings for hundreds of adults and children each year.

When needed, individuals are referred to a medical professional for a dilated eye exam. If the individual is without insurance and cannot afford glasses when necessary, the Lexington Lions Club will help pay for the glasses. Lexington Lions Club provides access to prescription eyeglasses and eye surgeries for individuals in need.

The club funds an annual retreat for those with blindness and a summer camp for blind children. Lexington Lions Club members assist in funding several other sight related activities. Some of these are: Kentucky Lions Eye Bank, Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation-KidSight Program, Visually Impaired Preschool Services, Radio Eye, Bluegrass Council of the Blind, Kentucky School for the Blind and Leader Dogs for the Blind.
