KAILEE MILLS FOUNDATIONÂ
The Kailee Mills Foundation was founded after the tragic loss of 16 year old Kailee Mills who was ejected and killed after removing her seat belt momentarily. Our mission is to prevent fatality and injury by educating the public on seat belt safety through school programs, community outreach, and awareness campaigns.
By sharing Kailee’s story to provide education and awareness, our programs are reminding people of all ages that the true risk of not wearing a seat belt is the loss of a loved one. Â
The sudden loss or extended hospitalization of a loved one, especially a child, can have devastating effects:Â Â Â Unexpected expenses of $13,000 on average / Grief, post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, financial stress /Loss of income/ Divorce/ Significant changes to household income
Funeral financial assistance can be used towards items such as funeral services, burials, headstones, cemetery plots, cremation, urns, memorials, grave markers, loss of income, and other related costs.
Medical and financial assistance can be used towards extended hospital or rehabilitation stays helps to offset costs for medical, housing, food, and loss of income.
We provide grief support resources for individuals, families, and groups. Grief counseling assistance is available for immediate family members who have lost a loved one in a vehicle crash. Once approved, we cover up to 6 sessions.
