UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN GUEST ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

This program offers various lodging assistance options for patients and their families, including the Med Inn hotel and partnerships with local hotels to ensure comfortable accommodations during medical treatment.

Lodging Options:
Med Inn: Located on the University of Michigan medical campus, the Med Inn provides 30 rooms specifically for patients and their families. Amenities include a continental breakfast and bellman services. Reservations can be made directly through Michigan Medicine.

Partnerships with Local Hotels: Michigan Medicine collaborates with over 30 hotels and motels in the Ann Arbor area, including Brighton and Livonia. They help patients find accommodations that meet their specific needs at competitive rates. The lodging team can assist with reservations and provide information about hotel amenities.

Guest Assistance Program (GAP): This program assists eligible patients and families with lodging, transportation, and other non-medical needs. Social workers are available to help navigate these services, ensuring that patients can focus on their care.

The Guest Assistance Program (GAP) offers connection to several types of resources for our patients (all based on eligibility) for social needs related to medical care at University of Michigan Health: Liaison with government and community organizations
