KY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Kentucky Habitat for Humanity (KyHFH) is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities, and hope.
Kentucky Habitat for Humanity is determined to address the affordable housing crisis in Kentucky. Not only is it our mission, it is MY mission! Kentucky Habitat for Humanity works across the Commonwealth to provide safe, affordable and energy-efficient housing for people in need. This past year, Kentucky has experienced unheard-of natural disasters that have resulted in the loss of not only family homes and entire communities, but precious lives. We are working daily for healing and restoration for these communities and will continue to do so.
In Western Kentucky, where more than 8,500 homes were damaged or destroyed, we are working to rebuild entire communities that were decimated by the December 2021 tornadoes. We have been on-site since day one, leading the way for long-term recovery and healing in those beloved communities by repairing and building new homes for disaster-affected families. In Eastern Kentucky, where July 2022 floods claimed 43 lives and damaged or destroyed as many as 10,000 homes, Kentucky Habitat is working with affiliates and partners to provide temporary shelter and long-term solutions to an area that was already in housing crisis.
Unfortunately, Kentucky Habitat for Humanity does not serve in all 120 counties in Kentucky and due to limited funding, Kentucky Habitat cannot assist with every need submitted. Please check our list of affiliates and the areas that we serve BEFORE completing and submitting your form. If your county of residence is not on our list of affiliates, Kentucky Habitat cannot assist you at this time.
