OUR SERVICES: 

Head Start Program: Enrollment in Head Start is done year-round, based on available openings. Eligibility for the program includes income level, homelessness, foster care and family needs. Please call 906-228-6522 ext. 252 for more information.

Diaper Bank: Provides diapers to households with children aged 17 years or younger and at or below 200% Federal Poverty Level.

Water Affordability Program: The purpose of the Water Affordability program is to assist residents who have a financial burden, have accumulated a balance on their water and/or wastewater utility bill, have had their water service shut off, and/or are at risk of having their water and/or wastewater service shut off.

Alger County Home Rehabilitation Program:
On behalf of Alger County, CAAM administers the Alger County Home Rehabilitation Program. This program is available only to homeowners who reside in Alger County. Eligible improvements are limited to emergency home repairs that pose a serious and immediate threat to the health or welfare of the household and/or community, the existing conditions are of recent origin or recently became urgent (generally within the last 18 months), repairs do not disrupt any lead paint on the property, the recipient is unable to finance the activity on his/her own, and other sources of funding are not available. Eligible repairs may include: Furnace or water heater repair or replacement / Septic system or well repair or replacement/ Roof repair or replacement / Other necessary emergency repairs upon approval
