Kentucky: Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Scott, and Woodford Counties.
CLIENTS SERVED: Seniors, Veterans, people with disabilities, and individuals or families experiencing hardship.
St Joseph’s Helpers is a Christian nonprofit organization whose volunteers provide minor home repairs and accessibility modifications that help people remain safe and independent in their homes. For needs beyond their scope of services, the Information & Resources department helps clients identify other programs and organizations that may be able to assist.
SERVICES & PROGRAMS:
- Home Accessibility: Installation of railings, bannisters, ramps, shower bars/grab bars, and other minor accessibility modifications. The Ramp Program is not currently accepting applications, but Information & Resource Specialists can be contacted for alternative resources if available.
- Minor Home Repairs: Small electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs that address safety or maintenance needs.
- Information & Resources: Clients whose needs are outside the scope of SJH services may have their request reviewed by the Information & Resources department for referrals to other programs and organizations. Additional resources are also available through Julie’s List, SJH’s community resource database.
