SafeHouse Shelter:
A 32-bed emergency shelter with supportive services for survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault and their minor children.

YWCA Greater Flint is the only county provider, recognized by the State of Michigan, that offers comprehensive services and crisis intervention for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

SAFE Center:
Sexual Assault Forensic Exam (SAFE) Center:  24-hour access to a free rape kit examination administered by a trained Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) in a safe, private, dedicated health-care space. From the first phone call, YWCA advocates respond and attend to the immediate needs of the victim. Throughout the stages of the crisis, advocates work with each client to facilitate access to services and assistance with any medical, emotional, financial, legal or housing challenges.  Following the use of short-term crisis intervention services, typically 30-60 days, clients are encouraged to utilize the support services offered by the Women’s Empowerment Center and also participate in the educational and developmental programs.
