MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY SUMMER CAMP

Each summer, campers ages 8-17, attend these life-changing, overnight camps around the U.S. – at no cost to their families, thanks to our generous supporters.

MDA Summer Camp creates a world of possibilities for children living with neuromuscular disease. Camp gives kids a chance to discover new interests while gaining self-confidence, making lifelong friendships and experiencing the independence of being away from home. Thanks to generous donors and partners, MDA provides a safe, inclusive summer camp experience at no cost to families.

Camp offers a wide range of traditional camp activities and programs such as arts and crafts, sports and games, and more. Every activity is adapted to meet each individual’s needs and abilities. Dedicated and trained volunteer camp counselors support daily activities and personal care, while licensed health professionals on the Medical Team ensure consistency in routine medications and treatments, and support overall wellbeing.

At MDA Summer Camp, every camper finds a place to belong in a community rooted in inclusion, friendship, and fun. Here, kids and young adults with neuromuscular disease grow in confidence as they take on new adventures, make lifelong friends, learn to self-advocate, and discover just how much they can do.’
