Our Mission:

The Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation provides vision services through education, detection, prevention, treatment and empowerment. Through collaborative partnerships, we enable greater independence and increased quality of life for all Kentuckians while focusing on children and adults in financial need.

PATRON PROGRAM: Patron Program provides financial assistance to Kentuckians who are un-insured or under-insured and in need of eye surgery. The Patron Fund Program was created to help those Kentuckians with no insurance or limited insurance to obtain medically necessary eye surgeries. The guidelines to qualify to be considered to receive assistance from the Patron Program are: Individual must be referred to the program by a Kentucky Lions Club member / An application must be completed and submitted to KLEF / Individual must verify medical need of the surgery / Individual must verify financial need. (Household Income and Household Expenses must be listed on application)

HOLLORAN PROGRAM: Holloran Program provides various forms of assistance to residents of Jefferson County and surrounding counties who are legally blind.

LOW VISION CLINIC: Our no-cost low vision exams help provide hope and support to help patient’s utilize their remaining functional vision.

NEED HELP PURCHASING GLASSES?  If you are a Jefferson County resident and are needing assistance to purchase a pair of prescription glasses, please click on your zip code listed on the website to download the application for the Lions Club in your area. The application will need to be printed and returned by mail to the address on the bottom of the application. If you do not have access to a printer please call 502-583-0564 to request an application to be mailed directly to you.
