They can also connect you with the Installation Army Emergency Relief (AER) officer for further assistance. Don’t hesitate to contact your Chain of Command, they are there to help!
2. Apply for Financial Assistance Online
Eligible applicants can apply for financial assistance anytime, from anywhere, using the Online Assistance Application on a computer or mobile device. Once submitted, the request is sent to either HQ AER or your nearest AER office based on the ZIP code provided for review and processing. Simply create an account and submit your request to get started.  Create an account and submit your request.
3. Visit Your AER Officer
Eligible applicants can visit their nearest AER office for assistance. AER Officers are available at many Army installations worldwide. If there isn’t an Army office within a 50-mile commuting radius, you can still seek help by submitting a request for financial assistance through the Online Assistance Application.
