KDL Talking Book & Braille Center:
The KDL Talking Book & Braille Center (TBBC) is a free program for patrons of all ages that reside in Kent, Montcalm, or Ionia county and are unable to read standard print due to a visual, physical or reading disability. The service provides books and magazines in accessible formats that can be shipped for free directly to the patron’s home or downloaded to a personal device.
Adaptive Technology Lab:
The Adaptive Technology Lab at the KDL Service & Meeting Center is equipped with a wide range of assistive technologies that support independence, accessibility, and inclusion for patrons with visual, physical and learning disabilities.
The Lab is available by appointment Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM for up to 3 hours at a time. Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance. Appointments can be made online or by calling 616-784-2007.
KDL TBBC is part of a nationwide network of libraries operating under the National Library Service for the Blind & Print Disabled, a division of the Library of Congress.
