​How does a nomination work?

Once a nomination is submitted, it enters our review process. Please keep in mind that we are an 100% volunteer-run organization and receive hundreds of nominations each month. Because of this, it takes time before we can review each submission. We do encourage you to have friends and family enter submissions for the same person but do request that you only submit once per person. If selected, the nominator will be contacted by a volunteer. If your nomination is not selected and a volunteer does not contact you, please know you are still making a meaningful contribution to our community by helping us understand the needs of those we serve. Our impact is only limited by the resources we have, and every donation allows us to help more nominated families.
