Our Programs:
We support families fighting pediatric cancer by providing hospital Ready Bags at diagnosis and building backyard play structures during treatment.
What are Ready Bags?
Ready Bags include everything that a family might need for their unexpected hospital stay.
This includes toiletries, a blanket, a journal, a pill organizer and more. These essentials are helpful, but we hope they also send a message to each family that they are not alone as they begin the terrifying journey of fighting pediatric cancer.
Play:
Are you a family fighting pediatric cancer and interested in applying for our Play program?
When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the first thing taken away is the opportunity to play. Normal family activities are replaced with doctor’s appointments and treatments that leave kids with weak immune systems – and often the inability to interact in public. A new backyard play structure not only provides a safe, germ-free place to play, but it also gives the child and family an escape from the reality of fighting pediatric cancer and a way to create happy memories together.
Our Play Program is open to families with a child fighting cancer who is 10 years old or younger and in active treatment. With the support of groups all over the U.S., we have built thousands of playsets and playhouses for families, and we’re just getting started.
Serves children 10 years or younger in active treatment for cancer, throughout the United States.Â
