The Habitat Aging in Place national program provides help to older adults so they can age safely at home. Local Habitat affiliates work with human services organizations to evaluate individual needs and provide critical home repairs, modifications and community services specific to each homeowner.

An assessment is completed by a health or human services professional to learn best how to help the homeowner. A second assessment then includes a home repair evaluation by a Habitat construction specialist to review the need for modifications such as installing lever door handles, ramps, rails and raised toilets.
