DESCRIPTION: emPower, a program of TrueNorth Community Services, provides energy assistance and financial stability services to low-income Michigan households.

PROGRAMS/SERVICES:

• Energy Assistance: Financial assistance with heating and electricity bills, including past-due balances, subject to eligibility and available funding.
• Affordable Payment Plans: Manageable monthly utility payments, bill credits, and shutoff protection through participating utility providers.
• Financial Coaching: Individualized budgeting assistance, money management education, and financial planning.
• Energy Conservation: Education and guidance on reducing household energy consumption and utility costs.
• Resource Referrals: Connections to additional community assistance programs and supportive services.
