ANN ARBOR MEALS ON WHEELS
Ann Arbor Meals on Wheels, a program of U-M Health Department of Community Health Services, seeks to reduce hunger and food insecurity in a culturally responsive manner for the homebound in Ann Arbor area who are unable to shop and prepare complete nutritious meals for themselves because of their health.
Meals are currently being delivered Monday-Saturday to clients. Individuals can choose between a hot meal, cold bag, or both. Ensure and Glucerna are also available to those who are at nutritional risk.
AAMOW staff and volunteers are committed to supporting the dignity and independence of our homebound community members who are largely unable to leave home because of their health status. AAMOW delivers meals Monday – Saturday with an extra meal on Saturday for Sunday. Staff are available to provide additional support that includes addressing tangible needs through our personal care items pantry and connecting folks to additional community supports.
