Financial Assistance for Parkinson’s Medication: Michigan Parkinson Foundation offers financial assistance, up to $600 a year, to help cover the cost of Parkinson’s medications.
MPF RESPITE CARE PROGRAM: Financial Assistance / Michigan Parkinson Foundation’s Respite Care Program is a caregiver relief program, allowing caregivers to take a break from their caregiving responsibilities and recharge.
The Michigan Parkinson Foundation Mentorship Program aims to connect you with people by geography, life experience or stage of Parkinson’s. Whether you’re a care partner, newly diagnosed or have had Parkinson’s for years, we’ll work to find you a mentor match that works for you.
SUPPORT GROUPS: The Michigan Parkinson Foundation proudly offers a network of over 70 support groups across all 83 counties in Michigan, including virtual options. These monthly meetings often feature guest speakers on various Parkinson’s-related topics or provide a safe space to seek support and build connections within your community. Remember, you are not alone! To find a support group near you, please check the website for a complete listing organized by county. Virtual groups are listed on the last page. Each group has a contact person listed for specific inquiries. First-time attendees are encouraged to contact the facilitator before attending their first meeting.
