Monroe County Senior Legal Services (MCSLS) provides legal assistance to Seniors aged 60 and older in Monroe County, MI, who are in the greatest social or economic need. MCSLS offers services through its office in the Township of Monroe and outreach sites, including senior centers, nutrition sites, and nursing homes. The services include civil matters only and MCSLS has a history of providing legal services to seniors in the community since its formation in 1977.

Consumer problems, like collection, identity theft, contracts and warranties / Administrative problems, including those with state and local welfare, Social Security, Medicare/ Medicaid, or Veterans Administration /Â Estate Planning and probate, including wills, durable powers of attorney, and heath care powers of attorney documents /Â Housing problems for tenants, including housing code violations, public housing and eviction / Tax credits for homestead property tax and home heating.
