The only national organization making final dreams a reality for terminally-ill adults and their families.
The Dream Foundation provides wish-come-trues for people 18 and over in the USA who are facing a serious, life-limiting diagnosis. Wishes are personal to the recipient and focus on help that provides inspiration and comfort for patients and families.
Dreams for Veterans honors our veterans’ service by fulfilling their final Dreams, providing them, their families and caregivers inspiration, comfort and closure at the end of life. Dream recipients are U.S. military veterans, active service members, and members of the Reserve and National Guard.
Dreams not only serve veterans, but also bring comfort and peace to their loved ones and caregivers. Dreams play a critical role in the special end-of-life care that focuses on improving quality of life for veterans and their families.
To apply for a wish for yourself or someone else, please visit the online request form here: https://www.dreamfoundation.org/general-dream-application-preview
To be eligible for a wish from The Dream Foundation, you must first be referred by a medical professional. Once you’re referred, you’ll work with a wish granter to determine what your one true wish is. It can be anything you want—from taking a trip to meeting a celebrity—as long as it’s feasible and physically possible. From there, the Dream Foundation team will work their magic to make your wish come true.
Qualifications:
Dream recipients live in the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, are 18 and older, are diagnosed with a life limiting illness with a life expectancy of 12 months or less, and lack the resources to fulfill the Dream themselves.
