CLS/OC connects people/families with qualified individuals and agencies they can interview; the person/ family then
decides who they would like to provide their services and supports. A fiscal intermediary then makes payments on the person’s/family’s behalf for the services chosen and provides a monthly budget report, so everyone knows how much
their services cost and how much money in their individualized budget has been utilized. This model offers flexibility
and creativity regarding how to use the financial resources and whom to choose for services and supports.
