EightCAP has offices in each of our four-county region (Ionia, Montcalm, Gratiot, and Isabella). Each office is staffed Monday – Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Please click on the appropriate page to see office addresses.
Applications are required for emergency assistance with items such as utility bills, deliverable fuels, security deposit, and other basic needs depending on funding. Community Services also coordinates the Commodity Supplemental Foods Program for seniors. Click here for the list of distribution sites and requirements.
Community Services provide financial assistance for eligible persons. Eligibility requirements vary by program and programs change based on funding sources. If you are having difficulty meeting financial obligations for basic human needs, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Head Start is a high quality preschool program that provides nutritious meals and depending on location can also provide transportation. Head Start centers are located throughout Gratiot, Ionia, Isabella and Montcalm counties serving children ages three to five. Early Head Start provides home based and center-based child development support services in Clinton, Gratiot, Ionia, Isabella and Montcalm counties; serving prenatal moms and children birth to age three.

EightCAP’s Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) is a federally funded, low-income residential energy conservation program. The program provides free home energy conservation services to low-income Michigan homeowners and renters. These services reduce energy use and lower utility bills, making homes more comfortable and utilities more affordable, while helping families become more self-sufficient. Services include: Wall Insulation / Attic Insulation and Ventilation / Foundation Insulation / Air Leakage Reduction / Smoke Detectors / Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs / Dryer Venting
