GRANDPARENTS RIGHTS IN MICHIGAN
In Michigan, grandparents may have visitation rights with their grandchildren if certain criteria are met, such as having a pending divorce or separation involving the child’s parents. The law allows for visitation rights if the child’s parent is deceased or if the court determines that the grandparent is the father of the child. Additionally, emotional ties and prior relationships between the grandparent and grandchild can also be considered in determining visitation rights.
