Bi-Weekly program sessions begin with families, staff and volunteers sharing a meal, providing an opportunity for fellowship & bonding. Afterwards,
the children and teens are placed in age-appropriate groups where they meet for activities such as dis-
cussions, art, music, play and writing. A designated area called the Volcano Room allows children and teens a place to safely release the physical feelings of grief. An adult support group is offered concurrently.

SandCastles Camp is an annual, overnight, week-
end long camp experience for children and teens
that have experienced the death of someone close
to them. The camp weekend is offered free of charge and facilitated by professional staff specializing in grief as well as trained volunteers from SandCastles Grief Support Program. Grief is a normal, natural response to death, & individuals who are supported in their loss are able to heal in additional ways.
Camp offers that support.
