The Journey to Housing Program is a not-for-profit organization helping the hidden homeless:
Our mission is to assist homeless families in finding suitable housing and to provide life skills training as they move toward
self-sufficiency. The Journey to Housing Program is spiritually based and welcomes all in the name of God. We serve those
in need regardless of race, creed, or religious affiliation.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be homeless (living in a shelter, motel/hotel, vehicle, or with family or friends temporarily)
2. Must have income from Employment, SSI, SSD, or Child Support
3. Must have at least one child under the age of 18 living with the participating parent(s) of the Journey To Housing program
4. Must be willing to be housed in and work near Western Wayne County. (Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Inkster, Westland,
Canton, Plymouth, Northville, Livonia, Garden City, and Redford)
5. Must be willing to participate in the Journey To Housing financial and social work programming
6. Preferably, participants of Journey To Housing, will have family support in Western Wayne County or border communities
