SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT:
LifeBUILDERS Summer Youth Employment is a program that seeks to bring re-
sources and opportunities to the youth of Detroit. The program teaches youth
how to apply for a job and conduct themselves professionally, while also giving them hands-on experience with physical labor. The labor they’re assigned to is
all labor that helps to beautify and remove blight on the Northeast side of Detroit.
The youth also receive training and life coaching from well-known professional organizations such as Dale Carnegie and Positive You. The youth are paid hourly throughout the duration of the program and taught financial skills such as opening
a bank account and budgeting their income.

PARKWAY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
LifeBUILDERS seeks to improve the overall education of the youth in our comm-
unity by working with Parkway Christian School. Through this partnership, youth
are scholarshiped to receive a private education at Parkway, where they are not
only built up academically, but spiritually and emotionally as well.
