
A program of the Michigan Dental Association, the Michigan Donated Dental Services (DDS) program
has provided more than $23.3 million in free comprehensive dental treatment since 1995. Since that
time, volunteer dentists have dedicated their talents to providing care to more than 6,500 of Michigan’s
most vulnerable citizens since 1995. Donations from volunteer dental laboratories also helps the pro-
gram provide once-in-a-lifetime desperately needed care to elderly, permanently disabled or medically
fragile patients who are low income and have no other means of getting the dental treatment they need.
Services provided include extractions, oral surgery, and dentures.
​Eligibility Requirements:
Have a permanent disability, or
Are elderly: age 65 or older, or
Have a chronic health condition
Have income below 200% of the federal poverty level
Have no dental insurance
Need extensive dental care (we are unable to provide emergency services)
