The MCISD collaborates with staff members, service organizations & community
representatives to connect adult learners with literacy services via confidential trained community tutors. Project READ expands & enhances the abilities of adults
to read and understand in their per- sonal and professional lives. This program is administered by the MCISD with financial support provided by community donors
and area businesses, most notably DTE Energy. All calls are confidential. Tutoring sessions are held at public locations such as a library or quiet restaurant.
