NEW DAY FOUNDATION FOR FAMILIES FIGHTING CANCER

No family should fight cancer alone or make unthinkable choices between medical treatment and providing basic necessities. New Day works with hospitals across the State of Michigan to reach more patients before they hit critical financial breaking points caused by financial toxicity, a harmful side effect that creates significant barriers to treatment and healing.

Get Help:
New Day provides financial support for everyday living expenses and emotional support so that families can focus on what matters — healing and wellness.

Financial Assistance:
New Day pays critical everyday living expenses for families with a pediatric or adult cancer patient in active treatment. Payments are made directly to creditors for mortgage/rent, utilities, insurance, transportation, fuel, childcare, and more.  Applications must be submitted through a hospital social worker or financial navigator.  Application form: https://www.foundationforfamilies.org/contact-us

Grocery & Gas Support:
New Day provides various food and gas assistance options, ensuring that families have healthy food on the table and gas in the tank to get to treatment. This program is open to all Michigan cancer patients with a demonstrated need.  Applications must be submitted through a hospital social worker or financial navigator.
