Locally the Council:
1. Recruits and trains volunteers who meet weekly with adult students to teach reading, writing & conversational English.
2. Provides various tutoring workshops to give tutors tools for effective tutoring
3. Has available a library with tutoring materials for various reading levels and interests
4. Provides resources i.e., tutor mentors, tutor trainers, specialists to answer questions and guide tutors
