How We Help:
We are several types of people!
We are a group of parents that believe in our kids. When our children came to us and told us
they were Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, or Transgender, we became confused and disillusioned be-
tween what we were led to believe and the reality of it all. “That’s not my kid!” could be heard
across city borders. We knew in our hearts that our children were not what we were taught.
A group of parents got together, to tell the stories of their children and found loving support
and education. Then the search went out to find other parents in similar situations. PFLAG
Detroit was formed.
We are an extended family of the GLBT community
