Second Chance at Life is proud to provide financial assistance to individuals pre- or post-transplant
through one of our three assistance programs. We also provide funding to the emergency funds at
Transplant Centers throughout Michigan.

DENTAL ASSISTANCE:
Second Chance at Life’s Dental Assistance Program grants money to pre-transplant patients. All patients
wanting to get on the transplant list must obtain dental clearance. If a patient has untreated dental issues,
their risk of infection is high and makes them a poor candidate for transplantation. After a transplant, pa-
tients must maintain good dental health in order to minimize the chance of infection and rejection of the
transplanted organ
