The lab offers:
1. GED preparation
2. English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction
3. Adult Basic Education (ABE) for adults needing remedial training in reading and/or math
4. Educational support for those entering college who need remedial help
5. Computer instruction and one-on-one tutoring
6. Academic and career counseling
7. Workplace skills preparation
8. Referrals to wraparound services
9. Financial literacy
10. Instruction and resources for trainees in workforce development programs
Participants must be at least 19 years old and have a goal of finding employment
or improving their work situation. low-income and unemployed or under- employed.
Eligible adults do not need to reside in Detroit to enroll in the lab. Except for a small registration fee, these services are free for eligible participants.
