Patrons can either dine in or get food for carry out.
At present, the soup kitchen is open:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays
Serving lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
St. Leo’s Soup Kitchen provides a hot, nutritious lunch every Tuesday through
Friday, from 11:30-12:30, to primarily low-income residents of Detroit, Highland
Park and Hamtramck, at no cost to them. We give out, on average, 150 meals per
serving day. In addition, we hand out 60 sack lunches every Friday for patrons to
take home after their hot meal. We serve about 30,000 meals per year and are fully
funded by donations and grants.
