Green Corps Crew Leader:
Our Green Corps Crew Leader program is a six to eight-week summer leader-
ship development program for young adults at least 21 years old.
Green Corps Crew Member:
1. Our Green Corps program is a six to eight-week summer youth employ-
ment program for students ages 14-18 years old.
2. Develop and strengthen leadership skills
3. Beautify your city and give back to your community
4. Receive soft skills training in conflict resolution, financial literacy,
ACT / SAT prep, team building, work readiness and much more
5. Work outdoors and positively impact the environment
6. Earn a pay check
As a Green Corps Crew Leader, you will:
1. Mentor and lead a crew of 10 Detroit youths
2. Manage crews to safely maintain green spaces, execute conservation
service projects and foster environmental stewardship
3. Receive soft skills training in people management and motivation,
conflict resolution,
4. Work outdoors and positively impact the environment and community
5. Develop and strengthen leadership skills
6. Earn a pay check
The Detroit Conservation Corps
Our workforce development training program is currently offering two courses:
Certified Tree Artisan
Snow Removal
To enroll in our workforce development program you must be at least 18 years
old, a resident of Detroit, Hamtramck or Highland Park and have a barrier to employment. Most felony convictions are welcome.
