Senior Citizen Solid Waste Discount (Application period for signups is July 1st through Sept. 15th)
The City of Detroit may provide a discount to homeowners who are at least 65 years old and have a Principal Residence Exemption on file. The Solid Waste Fee is $250.00. Qualifying Seniors will receive
a discount of $125.00. If you continue to own and occupy the home, you will not need to reapply each
year. The application period is July 1 through September 15.
