U-SNAP-BAC, which stands for: United – Streets Networking and Planning – Building a Community provides services to neighborhoods on the east side of Detroit, bordered by Morang on the east, Van Dyke on the west, Seven Mile to the north, and Charlevoix to the south.

Promotes economic growth and neighborhood improvement. The objective is to provide decent, safe and affordable housing for families of low and moderate income, while broadening U-SNAP-BAC Inc.’s role as a community empowerment advocate.

HOPE: Homeowners Property Exemption – Helps low-income homeowners reduce or eliminate current year property taxes.

Senior Citizen Solid Waste Discount – Provides a discount to homeowners age 65+ and have a Principal Residence Exemption on file. Applications open July 1 – September 15.

Counseling Services are provided for pre-purchasing homes, credit, rental, eviction, and financial coaching.
