DESCRIPTION: 1in6 is a nonprofit program of Zero Abuse Project which provides information, education, and support to men who have experienced sexual abuse or assault. Services focus on helping survivors understand the effects of trauma, connect with peer support, and find pathways toward healing.
Note that 1in6 does not provide 24/7 crisis services or therapeutic referrals directly. For immediate support, the organization directs survivors to RAINN’s National Sexual Assault Hotline.

- Online Support Groups: Free, anonymous weekly chat-based peer support groups facilitated by a trained counselor. No video or audio is used, and groups are limited to 10 participants.
- 24/7 Sexual Assault Support: Connects survivors with RAINN’s confidential national hotline and online chat for immediate support, information, and referrals.
- Trauma Recovery Resources: Videos and educational materials addressing the effects of sexual abuse and supporting the healing process.
- Survivor Stories: Personal stories, videos, and interviews from male survivors intended to reduce isolation and help others understand their experiences.
- Information & Education: Articles and resources addressing common questions, myths, effects of abuse, and issues specific to male survivors.

- Podcast: You’re Not Alone, featuring conversations about sexual abuse, recovery, accountability, and healing.
HOW TO ACCESS: Online support groups are free and do not require a referral. Participants must be at least 18 and identify as a man who has experienced an unwanted sexual experience. Groups are peer support rather than therapy and are available through the organization’s online scheduling page.
