When CCWC first opened its doors in 1959, adoption and counseling were the main focus. Sixty years later, programs and staff have greatly expanded. In addition to focusing on finding children happy and loving homes, support for low income and teen moms, counseling for adoptive parents and birth mothers, search and reunion services for those who either made adoption plans or were adopted through CCWC are available.
Making a Difference:
CCWC offers foster care for children who have been separated from their birth families for reasons of abuse and/or neglect. CCWC licenses foster families to provide a safe, loving, temporary home until the child can be reunified with their birth family.
All services, from counseling to referrals to long-term support, are offered at no charge. For questions about the foster care process and what it takes to become a foster parent through CCWC, please contact us at (734) 926-4645. Our agency works with families from Washtenaw and surrounding counties.
