Reading is for Everyone:
As the local provider for the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS), we work toward giving everyone access to reading. Anyone experiencing temporary or permanent blindness, vision impairment, or physical disability that prevents them from reading or holding a standard print book qualify for this free, federal program. Those experiencing reading disabilities due to organic dysfunction also qualify.
As a part of our Braille & Talking Book program, you have access to thousands of books and magazines in braille or audio formats, including best-sellers, mysteries, westerns, biographies, how-to books and other popular materials. Everything comes delivered by postage-free mail or is instantly downloadable via the BARD website and smart device app.
