Bridging Communities provides professional assessments for those 60 and greater to help address the challenges of daily life. Services are based on eligibility for those residing in zip: 48204, 48206, 48208, 48209, 48210, 48216, 48217, and 48238
Access To Services:
Bridging Communities leverages the gifts and talents of dedicated staff, volunteers, and partners to fulfill identified clients’ unmet needs.
We offer case coordination, friendly calls and visits to reduce isolation, safe transportation to medical appointments, holiday remembrances, food delivery, and educational workshops.
Monthly Food Distribution:
The Food Distribution program provides community members with access to essential groceries to take home and support their households. Held on the first and third Fridays of each month from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Bridging Communities staff are on-site to assist with distributing food bags to those in need. This program operates while supplies last and is designed to help ensure individuals and families in the community have access to reliable food support. For more information call (313) 361-6377.
We also assist with Medicare, Medicaid, MI Bridges, and MiCafe applications, and connect individuals with local resources to support daily living needs.
