The City of Southfield’s CHORE program has been helping senior adults maintain their homes since its inception in 1983. Funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency (OLHSA), CHORE provides an annual spending account for income qualified senior homeowners. This grant can be used for services such as lawn care, snow removal, window and gutter cleaning and labor costs for minor home repairs.

Seniors must meet HUD income guidelines.
