Outreach Services
An onsite, state-licensed social worker can assist Seniors in finding appropriate agency referrals, help them apply for necessary services, identify home care services to support residents to age-in-place, and provide other referrals as needed. Transportation Available for Clawson Residents:
Eligibility: Must be 55 or older, or living with a permanent disability, and be a resident of Clawson. Call 2 business days ahead. Round-trip fee is $4. Boundaries are Long Lake Road to the north, 11 Mile Road to the south, Ryan Road to the east and Southfield Road to the west. The extended boundaries are for medical appointments only and include South Boulevard to the north, Nine Mile Road to the south, Van Dyke Avenue to the east and Telegraph Road to the west. There are some extended boundaries for medical appointments. Monday-Thursday, 8 am – 3pm, and Friday, 8 am-1 pm.

Transportation anywhere other than to the Clawson Senior Center is $4 per round trip. Ride tickets are $4 each or four rides for $15 and may be purchased from a driver or here at the Center. Please use cash or checks made payable to City of Clawson.

Lunch is available for adults age 50 and over & their caregivers: Monday through Thursday at noon. Meals are $4. Meals must be ordered by 9am on the same day at 248-589-0334.

Lawn and Snow Removal Services: The City of Clawson has partnered with OLHSA (Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency) to provide lawn mowing, snow removal, and a limited number of other outdoor maintenance services to residents who are 62 years of age or older or those living with a permanent physical disability and meet the income eligibility criteria.
