CLIENTS SERVED: Detroit residents in the above neighborhoods.
CRCAA is a community-based development organization helping residents on Detroit’s far West Side. They help residents access resources and sponsor programs & events focused on neighborhood development, revitalization, and community well-being.
SERVICES & PROGRAMS:
- Critical Home Repairs & Accessibility: Helps residents access resources for furnace and electrical repairs, porch repairs, wheelchair ramps, grab bars, and other home needs.
- Cody Rouge Tech Hub: Computer access, classes, and one-on-one technology assistance.
- HOPE Program: Assistance completing applications for Detroit property-tax exemptions, plus counseling and referrals for other home-related needs.
- Senior Support: Caregiver support and mental-health resource navigation.
- Keep Cody Rouge Clean & Safe: Community cleanups of pocket parks, schools, and the Southfield Service Drive.
- Weatherization: Assistance for homeowners age 55+; homeowners must have insurance.
- Youth Programs: Youth Council, leadership development, the Cody Calm Center wellness space, High H.O.P.E.S. career coaching, and Grow Detroit’s Young Talent hands-on work experiences.
- Special Programs: (funding permitting): Periodic programs providing emergency support to help promote the health, wellness, and safety of residents. Availability and funding may vary. Past programs have included emergency utility assistance, supply of essential appliances, blood pressure screenings, school supply distribution, etc.
