DESCRIPTION: The Detroit College Access Network (DCAN) is a collaborative network between local schools, organizations, and the community. The mission of the network is to promote higher education in Detroit and make a college degree or credential a reality for students in Detroit.
SERVICES / PROGRAMS: We are a network of organizations – bigger than any one program or initiative – using collective impact to align and connect existing programs, schools, businesses and community resources to improve college enrollment and graduation rates for all Detroit students. It connects students, families, and practitioners to up-to-date educational pathways, wraparound services, and opportunities designed to help Detroit youth plan, access, and succeed in college and careers.
Emergency Grant ‘Fast Fund: Paying for college shouldn’t stand between you and your future. This Emergency Grant, in partnership with Graduate 313, removes unexpected financial roadblocks so learners can stay on track, stay enrolled, and finish the credentials they’re working toward.
Graduate 313 Hubs: The Detroit College Access Network Graduate 313 Community Hubs are dedicated spaces where Detroit students, families, and community members can access personalized advising and support for college and career readiness. Designed to meet students where they are, our hubs provide free resources, one-on-one guidance, and community-centered programming that help individuals navigate their educational and professional journeys with confidence.
