CLIENTS SERVED: Eastside Detroit residents, homeowners, renters, youth, families, seniors, small-business owners, and community organizations.

DESCRIPTION:
Eastside Community Network (ECN) focuses on sustainable neighborhood growth and advocacy through programs designed to strengthen and empower residents.

SERVICES / PROGRAMS:

• Sustainable Housing & Home Repair Resources: Helps residents access resources for home improvement, energy-efficiency, flood-prevention, foreclosure-prevention, and housing-stability.
• Detroit Home Repair Fund: ECN participates in the Detroit Home Repair Fund, helping low-income Detroit homeowners access critical home repairs. This program is currently not accepting new applications.
• HOPE Property Tax Assistance: Helps eligible homeowners apply for the Homeowners Property Tax Exemption (HOPE) and connects residents with foreclosure-prevention resources. ECN offers HOPE assistance on Mondays from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. and Wednesdays from 1–6 p.m.
• Heirs Property Assistance: Connects residents with legal resources to address unclear ownership, probate, and other heirs-property issues.
• DTE Energy Efficiency Assistance: Helps eligible low-income Eastside residents access energy-efficiency improvements, including potential furnace, water-heater, furnace/AC combination, and air-conditioning replacements. Whole-home assessments may also identify health and safety needs.
• Stoudamire Wellness Hub: Provides community classes, technology and fitness programs, resource fairs, job fairs, health events, and other activities for residents of all ages.
• Youth Development: Provides leadership, academic, college/career readiness, employment, and other programs for Eastside youth.
