MCLINDON FAMILY FOUNDATION ADAPTIVE BIKES
McLindon Family Foundation provides adaptive bikes to children with special needs.
Our mission is singular and powerful: to provide adaptive bikes to children and young adults with special needs, including conditions like Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Batten Disease, Charge Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Hydrocephalus, Autism, and more. These families face significant challenges, from the high costs of therapy sessions and specialized equipment to the struggle of building physical and mental strength, confidence, and most importantly, inclusion in everyday activities like riding bikes together.
What began in 2008 as a simple ‘Bikes for Christmas’ project quickly blossomed into a year-round commitment to changing lives. Since then, over 700 adaptive bikes have been delivered, each one making a profound difference in the lives of the children and their families.
Serves the United States.
